It’s time to dig out the warm clothes, find the parkas and brace ourselves for another long winter. There are great things about winter, snowball fights, snow forts, skiing, skating and warm drinks by a roaring fire.
This also means holiday cheer and special family gatherings. At the Douglas Historical Society it means gathering the town for Photos with Santa! yay! Many of us have been busy tending to our home and working and just haven’t had time to mingle since Octoberfest. Photos with Santa gives as yet another oppurtunity to see our fellow townspeople and see what’s going on, as well as capture that great photo of the kids.
Santa loves pets and the Jenckes store loves to host them. In lieu of some not having children, we welcome you to bring your cherished pets to get a photo with Santa We recommend a good leash and a social pet, but the Jenckes has hosted goats and other animals as well. I think one year we even has a pot bellied pig!
Find the elf shoes and get ready to see Santa! Give him your lists he can mail up to the North Pole, and enjoy some warm cider and treats at the snack bar.
Date will be coming soon.
