PAST EVENTS:

May 25, 2013:There was a wonderful response to the flyers put up around town and facebook notice. Lets keep it up. Remember, OTHER drop-off dates TO BE ANNOUNCED ASAP. *We WILL NOT take computers, TVs, or other electronics!
Call Chris Reed at 476-2183 if you have questions, or if you're able to help with this project.

** All ACCEPTED donated items will become the property of the Douglas Historical Society.

May 26, 2013: DECORATE YOUR RIDE CONTEST - Unfortunately, due to the weather, we did not have as many contestants as previous years, but the imagination this year was phenomenal. Amongst the contestants, we had Uncle Sam and Betsy Ross. Wonderful prizes were donated by Southwick Zoo, West End Creamery, Breezy Park Picnic Grounds and Waterslides and by David Bellenoit, member and resident of Douglas. A good time was had by all.

May 10, 2013: Open Mic Night was, once again, a huge hit. Brilliant musicians, good company along with the delicious desserts and various coffees. A job well done by Keith Menard of the Octoberfest Committee in putting together a wonderful event!

APRIL 21, 2013 - Several members of the society attended our Annual Meeting. Delicious desserts & coffee were served afterward.

March 12, 2013: Unfortunately there was not a big turnout at the Programs & Events Committee meeting. However, there was some good discussion.
